Back in March, I went to the Pensacola Quilt Show with a group of quilting friends... and I'm finally getting around to sharing some pictures.. Procrastination in my middle name! ;-)
There were so many beautiful quilts! Here are a few of my favorites.
When I look at a quilt, I always try to see how it was made-- because one day, I might like to try to make one of my own... :-) (Imitation is the greatest compliment!) These first three appear to be made using versions on a Dresden Fan or Dresden Plate... Beautiful! :-)
The next two look to be Snail's Trail type blocks? Cute monkies! :-)
These two quilts were made using Oriental prints, which I just love!
There were several "stack & whack" type quilts, which are some of my favorites- --they are just so much fun to make!
The next four pictures are just random.. sweet little appliqued bunnies, florals, string blocks, a pretty star-type pattern, and yo yo's---prettiness! :-)
Here is a Courthouse Steps quilt that is just gorgeous!! Love the colors!
And last, but not least, probably my most favorite quilt block of all--- Sunbonnet Sue.... love all the little details on these blocks... just adorable!
Gwen: The pictures are such wonderful memories of your visit to the Quilt Show and wonderful for sharing with us, your readers. I would never had had the opportunity of visiting the Pensacola show so now I can honestly say at lease Gwen shared it with me.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, seeing you were the only one to comment on my Giveaway, what say you send me your snail mail address so I may send these items to you to arrive in your mail box. mitzjidebos@yahoo.ca (a.k.a. The Bag Lady From The Bay)

Beautiful work Gwen, love seeing the quilts. Thanks for joining my blog also. Quilting I have tried once, I did the top and my mother in law quilted it for me. She was a doll for doing that. Hugs and see you down the line. ox
